The Outside Bit is no longer operating from Koonwarra following the end of our Lease, but some of our amazing products are still available through our ebay outlet.
The following is our June Newsletter:
Hoping you all enjoyed the long weekend and for us the past two months actually seems more like a few weeks! The brilliant colours of the leaves and bright sunshine are certainly embraced after gloomy, rainy (hooray!) days.
We visited Koonwarra after ending our lease in April 2010 and it seemed bare but I am sure the Store have plans for this magical spot. Again we highly recommend Djinta Djinta after we held our staff farewell lunch there. It was delicious and the friendly, relaxed service in pleasant surrounds equally appreciated. Our overnight stay at Percanta in Koonwarra was an equally enjoyable and pampering time with excellent treatments on offer in-house. Lastly, the new chocolate shop in Mirboo North was a somewhat decadent way to end our Anniversary weekend!
Listing an ebay store has been another learning curve, with wonderful staff and consultant support we are pleased with the set up and will work to list more items and review regularly. Our first day of listing saw two sales. One was the trusted CLENSEL- organic, safe pest control concentrate has been mailed to Tasmania where a customer had used it for 20 years successfully and now was happy to source this effective product again. Lots of enquiries about the composting bins as we still offer them discounted to promote composting to all! Please check out our ebay store by clicking the store catergory and typing in The Outside Bit!
More flower nets arrived in clear and blue beading(4, 5 and 6 inch sizes) and these continue to be popular sellers, great, lightweight and perfect with a bunch of flowers as a lasting gifts that keeps tulips, and a few stems in place. The perfect gift for someone who has everything! We are supporting the local Blackburn Lake Primary School event on Thursday 17th June, Ladies Shopping Night and will have our huge range of gloves and more specials. (Entry $10 to school complimentary champagne and lots of prizes - contact Kathryn 9878 6555).
We will be back in Gippsland for a few days from Saturday 26th June delivering plants and Tony will be passionately pruning fruit trees. So if you need any products, grain etc please ring 0419 353 494 or email: info@theoutsidebit.com.au .
The work in Melbourne is keeping us busy as is planning a special family September holiday. This is a great time to prune, weed, plant and relocate plants so they have the winter rain and springtime to take off before summer. In the meantime, we still hope to have an open day in Melbourne and attend the Rose competition in Glen Waverley in November.
Check out our online ebay NURSERY and website : You can visit any time, day or night , any weather. Read about the benefit of indoor plants and yes they have the studies to prove it.
Stay well and warm. Melanie & Tony June 2010 - 9
