What a wonderful success the first Earth Kids event was!!

Cr Bob Newton officially opened the event.  He kindly paid for the Hall rental for this day and the event to be held in January.  Thank you Councillor Bob. Koonwarra appreciates your continued support of our community.

Over 100 adults and many kids braved the cold, wet weather to attend and fun and learning were certainly part of their experience.

Children holding up a multi coloured kits

Kids delighted in sourcing preloved toys, making origami, drawing masterpieces, building, planting veggie seedlings.   The adults became young at heart and joined in the afternoon music session with drums, parachute and hula skirts.  This was a great hit with everyone.
